The inefficiency and disorder of end-of-end distribution have caused the growth rate of express delivery capacity to fail to keep up with the outbreak of demand. This is the real crisis in this industry.
According to data from the State Post Bureau, China has completed 83.36 billion express delivery in 2020, and the volume of orders has increased by 108.2% compared with the 40.06 billion in 2017. The growth rate is still continuing. In the first half of this year, the national express delivery business volume has approached 50 billion pieces-in the estimation of the State Post Bureau, this figure is 45% higher than the same period last year.
This is not just a problem facing China alone. Affected by the epidemic, e-commerce shopping and takeaway delivery have ushered in rapid growth worldwide. But regardless of Europe, America or Southeast Asia, apart from hiring more delivery personnel, the world has not found an effective way to deal with it.
In Jason Liu’s view, to solve this problem, only scientific and technological means can be used to improve the delivery efficiency of couriers. This requires precise control and coordination of the last mile of express delivery, but the data that can be realized is not known where to find.

The digitization of terminal logistics cannot be realized, the core reason is the lack of innovation in hardware.
So, how does Shandong Yunlong solve this long-standing industry pain point through “smart hardware + system + service”?
Jason Liu revealed that Shandong Yunlong will launch a smart commercial electric vehicle aimed at terminal logistics. In terms of safety, it must meet the standards of steam electric vehicles, and in terms of flexibility, it must meet the standards of three-wheel electric vehicles. Commercial electric vehicles also have IoT functions, have the ability to upload and download data, and are subject to supervision.
The back-end system can meet the requirements of various terminal digital operations and the services bundled with it. For example, a temperature control function can be provided in a take-out container; a container for red wine transportation needs to have a humidity control function.
Shandong Yunlong hopes to use this smart commercial electric vehicle to replace the traditional three-wheeled express electric vehicle, to help the courier solve the safety of electric vehicles, as well as the often embarrassing and lack of dignity in wind and rain. “We need to let the courier brother, with the blessing of high technology, work with dignity, safety and dignity.”

“We will redefine what is a high-tech and efficient end-of-end logistics product. We have to tell users that without IoT functions and digital management, it is not an end-of-logistics electric vehicle.” Jason Liu said.
Cost reduction and efficiency increase ultimately boil down to technology. It is reported that the new electric vehicle will use the auxiliary materials on the supercar to make the electric vehicle into several modules. This means that if the express electric vehicle is scratched and damaged, the module can be replaced quickly like a mobile phone repair.
Through this modular approach, Shandong Yunlong is actually reconstructing the entire core components of the future terminal logistics electric vehicle. “Here, from technology, core components to intelligent hardware components to systems, all will be built by Shandong Yunlong.” Jason Liu Say.
It is understood that Shandong Yunlong’s smart commercial electric vehicle will be released this year, and it is currently undergoing matching tests with the scene. The test scene includes the B-end, C-end, and G-end.
Although there is a lack of detailed data on the number of express three-wheeled electric vehicles due to management confusion, according to Jason Liu’s prediction, there will be a market size of seven or eight million in the country. Shandong Yunlong plans to jointly build with the government within three years to upgrade all express electric vehicles in China’s core cities, including 4 first-tier cities, 15 quasi-first-tier cities, and 30 second-tier cities.
